City Groove Radio, our local radio station serving Lisburn and the surrounding area, the Academy provides a structured introduction to radio for people interested in presenting, production, digital media and getting involved in their local community.
No previous radio experience is required.

Academy members can learn how to use our radio studio and broadcasting equipment, practise presenting and production techniques and build their confidence before contributing to live or recorded programmes.
Our aim is to provide a friendly and supportive environment where local people can develop practical broadcasting skills and become involved with community radio in Lisburn.

Applications for the City Groove Academy open at selected dates throughout the year.
During each intake, we'll invite applications from people interested in learning about radio, developing new skills and getting involved with City Groove.
You don't need previous broadcasting experience. We're looking for enthusiasm, reliability and people who want to learn.
